Agartha is located on the western edge of the Caucasus Mountains near the Gihon River. It is an...absolutely terrible place for a city to be to put it mildly. The area isn't flat, so it's next to impossible to build any buildings. Most people live in artificially created caves, and the less greedy people live on the flat area at the base of the mountain. It's constantly raining on the Caucasus, so the area is prone to mudslides and rock slides. During the winter it's not unusual to see an avalanche or two every week due to the sheer amount of snow that buries the area. The area is extremely dangerous without human and demon invervention. So what makes people want to live here?
Greed. A lust for power. A need for money. It could be any one of those things. Deep inside this area of the Caucasus are rich deposits of magnetite (or MAG). It's not clear how so much of this demonic essence go buried under the mountains; I'm still searching for the cause.
If you know anything about humans, demons and power you probably already know what this city is like. People are at each other's throats all the time. And it's not just humans beating up other humans, there's a high concentration of demons trying to get their hands on MAG as well. It's an absolutely vicious place.
There are also rich deposits of iron or and gold in the nearby areas, but no one cares about that. |
